Renting a car is the easiest way to get to Jerry's Motel in Downtown Los Angeles from LAX. For those without a car, there are several easy options available. Our personal favorites are Uber/Lfyt or the FlyAway Bus based on reasonable travel times and pricing, but there is a good option for everyone's travel style.
Uber/Lyft:
Taking an Uber or Lyft to our hotel is by far the easiest option to get here. The cost ranges from about $30 to $45, depending on whether there is surge pricing at the time you request your ride.
When you arrive, make your way up to the Departures level of the airport. On the Departures level, there are designated ride share pick up locations labeled A thru H. Locate a sign that reads "Ride Service Pick Up." You can see a map of pick up locations for ride sharing like Uber and Lyft, taxis and other modes of ground transportation here. We recommend contacting your driver to confirm your location if you are not entirely sure you have selected the correct pick up location.

Shared Shuttle Van: Prime Time Shuttle
Prime Time Shuttle will cost ~$16 per person one way from LAX directly to Jerry's Motel. Keep in mind that you may have other travelers in the van with you who are also being dropped off along a similar route, so the ride can take up to 1.5 to 2 hours. This option is only recommended if you are very patient and looking to make new friends. Book in advance online at: www.redvans.com
Taxi:
A taxi ride will cost you approximately $50-$70 depending on traffic. You can catch a taxi at LAX without any pre-planning at one of the many taxi zones. Be sure to have our address handy for the taxi drivers to input into their GPS.
FlyAway Bus
We love the FlyAway Bus! You can take it from LAX to Union Station in Downtown LA for $9.75 per person. The ride will take approximately 35 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic. Buses depart every 30 minutes during normal hours and every 1 hour over night. There are a few different routes, so make sure you take the bus heading to UNION STATION.
Once you arrive at Union Station, you can either take an Uber or Lyft for about $6-8 (a little less if you select a shared Uber Pool/Lyft Line), a taxi (approximately $10) or follow the directions below if you take public transportation to our location. If you have a lot of luggage or you are arriving very late in the evening, Uber/Lyft or taxi will be the best option.
