Downtown Eats: Langer's Deli

If you are a pastrami fan, you cannot visit Los Angeles without eating at the historic Langer's Deli.  Open since 1947, this deli offers the BEST pastrami sandwich you will ever eat in your life. Guaranteed.

We recommend you try The Original #19 Pastrami Sandwich, which includes hot pastrami, Russian dressing, cole slaw and swiss cheese on double baked rye bread.  Trust us when we say it's A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

We recommend you drive and park at their parking lot located just one block away from the deli (90 minutes free with validation).  Be sure to follow the signs, take a ticket and get it validated at the restaurant.  If you do not have a rental car, you can also take the DASH Pico Union/Echo Park bus, which you catch right at the corner of our location at 3rd St./Lucas Ave., and get off at the Westlake Ave./MacArthur Park Red Line Station stop.  From there, you walk a short 2 blocks and you're there!  Just note that neighborhood is rough around the edges, but this deli is visited by tourists and locals from across the city all the time, so you will be fine.

Don't miss it!
